Final Reminder On Dues
The last chance to pay dues ($80) is by Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at our next meeting in COM Room 246 at 6 p.m.
However, Heather will be in the PRSSA office-room 108, MONDAY OCTOBER 5TH from 3:30-4:00pm. For those who can't attend Tuesday's meeting, this would be a good chance to stop by to pay your dues. If you cannot make that time, or the meeting, please e-mail Heather at hmh32@nau.edu or prssa.nau@gmail.com ASAP so a time can be set up to pay your dues.
If you do not pay dues in full by Tuesday, October 6th you will not be inducted, and will not be able to enjoy the benefits of being an official member. Remember that your dues cover our national fees to PRSSA Headquarters, your PRSSA t-shirt, PRSSA JobCenter & Internship log-in, event dinners, guest speakers, socials, workshops and more.
The $80 membership dues include a lot of really fun and valuable benefits for members and are absolutely "worth their weight in gold." We have planned socials, resume workshops, business card workshops, Phoenix Shadow Days, and more for Spring 2009. Our past and present PRSSA NAU members have benefited with internships, jobs, scholarships, new business cards, networking and resumes!

Etiquette Dinner
Thank you for everyone that attended the Etiquette Dinner on Tuesday night! We all learned a lot and had a blast!
For those of you who couldn't make it, Casey went over what types of wines go with which types of appetizers, entrees and desserts as well as fine dining etiquette.
Tabitha and Sarah went over different types of appropriate dress for lunch interviews, office interviews and professional interviews as well as appropriate dress for office events from casual to cocktail to black tie.
The Cottage Place served up the most amazing appetizer of salad with a special dressing, Herb Stuffed Mushrooms and Crab Cakes; wild rice soup; an entree of organic pork chops, potatoes with peppers and veggies and then to top it off a slice of chocolate moose and a slice of strawberry banana cheesecake with an almond, graham cracker crust.
There was so much information it took 3 hours to get through or else I would include it all. This was a very fun and informative event and I hope it becomes a PRSSA tradition in the future.
Thank you to Frank and The Cottage Place for letting us hold the event there; thank you Casey for your knowledge of fine dining; thank you to Sarah and Tabitha for their fashion speech and Kelsey, Pia and Meghan for the set up and clean up portion of the event.
Thank you to all who came and those who were involved in the planning and execution!
I hope we can do it again next year!
